RFS Station Construction Commences

Early earthworks have commenced on a new, purpose-built Pacific Palms RFS station — a $2.256 million NSW Government investment targeted for completion before the 2026–27 bushfire season.

On 30 April 2026, a community ceremony at the Macwood Road and Paradise Drive corner site marked the start of construction. NSW Member for Myall Lakes Tanya Thompson, RFS District Manager Ugo Tolone, brigade members, and local residents gathered for the turning of the first sod.

The new facility will deliver multi-vehicle bays for faster deployment, dedicated training and coordination space, and a stronger visible community presence — addressing long-standing limitations of the brigade's existing premises.

Funding of $2.256 million was announced by the NSW Government, with builder Kingston Construction engaged. The project is on track for completion before the 2026–27 bushfire season.

The Pacific Palms RFS is a volunteer brigade and welcomes new members regardless of background. Training nights are held Tuesdays from 6:00pm. Contact the brigade via the Pacific Palms RFS Facebook page or your local Fire Control.
